To reach all the homeless in NSW.At an average of 40 patients per outreach and 1 outreach per week, it would take 5 years to reach all the homeless in NSW.

The Reality

Poor eye health among the homeless increases their vulnerability, making it harder to perform everyday tasks, access services and secure employment.

Our Story

Eyes of Hope was founded by 3 friends who simply saw a need. Working in the Optometric, Medical and Ophthalmology fields, they encountered people who needed eye care but could not access it, and so Eyes of Hope was born. It aims to bridge the gap to accessible eye care and glasses, hoping to make preventable vision impairment among the homeless and other marginalised populations, a thing of the past.

Our Mission

To provide free eye checks and glasses to the homeless population of NSW through a mobile eye clinic. Our mission is simple yet profound: to restore hope and open up new opportunities for those in need by improving their sight. Join us in creating a brighter, more inclusive future for those in need.
